Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, couldn't find a forum for sick fish..???

I'm very new at having fish and just noticed one of my fish has a red spot on it's back. Picture link is below. I don't even know what kind of fish it is! Can someone tell me, and let me know if you think the red spot is something to worry about, what it might be, etc?

Thanks so much!!

note; we increased the contrast a bit in the pic so it could be seen better.

Is the fish acting normally and eating? It very well could be an infection but it could also be just a small irritation. I would just keep an eye on it for now and see if the spot grows/changes or see if the fish starts acting differently.

Looks like some kind of Chromis, and the red looks like an injury, which if he's not stressed out and running about should heal up in no time.
