Red spots on Candy Cane?

Hi guys, I've never owned a candy cane before and I got this piece a few weeks back but it looks like it has red spots on its polyps, mostly between them. Is this new heads growing or something like zoa pox?
It only can be seen when the light are off rather than when it's out, puffy and extended
(Lights off in photo so the coral isn't on show properly).

Never really noticed that on the candy canes I've looked at in my LFS, but the lights have typically been on, so...
