I have a AIO 60 Gallons tank that came with two rectangular 3” x 5” filter socks.

I bought the RedSea Nanomat to install it n one of the filter socks holes but it leaves a lot of space in between the inlet and the side of the hole and I am afraid that it won’t work as desired. the water level is supposed to rise to the sensor to trigger the rolling of the fleece, but having so much empty space next to the collection cup won’t make it clogged and therefore it will never rise.

I cut the filter socks and I used the plastic top to sit the Nanomat on top of it and also I attached a piece of plastic to cover the space between the collection cup and the wall (I hope you can see it in the picture).
Does anybody knows of an adapter that could work for this setup??

Have you tried running it yet or are you going on the assumption it won't operate properly.

I am running it. You might be right, I am assuming it won’t work and it might. Is a new tank so it is clean now.
I should probably let it run for a few weeks and see.

I just thought that given the mechanics of how it works, I needed something
