Been out of the hobby for over 5 years, decided to put up a new to me tank (redsea 130 from FB market) for a new addition to the family.

I had always ran a skimmer on past tank, but this redsea skimmer is finicky and hard to get the level just right. So, I decided to removed it and in place, made a refugium.

Running a sicce micro filter to get the water moving in the chamber, a reefbreeder Pico light and some chaeto.

I'm trying to see if this natural form of nutrients expo can be just as effective as the skimmer.

Thou and opinion is greatly appreciated.
