Looking into getting the Redsea Nanno G2 XXL AIO 53 Gallons. I wanted to get the opinion of those who have had Redsea products. No product is perfect and some companies excel in one area and not so much in another. I would appreciate any positive or negative feedback to help me make an educated decision.
Thank you.

Larger (35+ gallon) Red Sea tanks (G1, and G2) have a bad track record of silicone seam failures…

I’ve personally dealt with multiple of these tanks failing at the seams, just in the past 7-8 months…

I’d recommend doing a quick search around here on the subject before committing to Red Sea for a tank!

Seam failures are the biggest con, I have a Max nano G2 Peninsula and wouldn't feel comfortable with anything bigger. Had a 250 a while ago and it was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders getting rid of it.

I wish this wasn't the case because I really like the dimensions of the G3 350 peninsula. They say they've addressed concerns in the G3 but the reputation is tarnished for me.

Thank you for your input. I’ve heard the same thing regarding the larger tanks. I’m hoping they’ve addressed the problem with the reinforced seem that is now on all the corners and bottom of the tank. Glass. They say it’s there to prevent damage to the silicone seal when scraping the glass. I’ll continue to do my home work in this regard.
