Did I kill an entire guppy tank with reef spec carbon? 15 gallon tank, over 100 guppies, now pristinely clear, no algae problem but no guppies anymore. Any ideas?

Not sure what happened but I doubt that was the cause. Carbon is carbon.....I ran that same stuff in my freshwater planted tank for years without any issues. Strange though.....guppies are pretty tough to kill.

I'm stumped. I was maintaining the aquarium for my inlaws. I feel quite badly. It was naturally overstocked the way guppies can do. No sign of illness, just sudden death. I'm wondering if somebody cleaned around the room with ammonia. My wife cleaned the kitchen with a bit of ammonia in the bucket and the Lionhead goldfish dropped dead minutes later. Belgians love ammonia to wipe everywhere.
