Has anyone had issues with the RedSea Reefer DC 300 sensor not calibrating? The long side calibrates but when I insert the short end into a cup of seawater I get the error of “place sensor in water” message.

I’ve tried cleaning with alcohol, scraping the terminals and sanding them with the same results. Is a new one in order?

I have a DC 600 and was not satisfied with the way the sensor worked. With the wiper splitting the catch tank in half it would pop the bubbles so the back half would overflow while the front half would stay where the bottom sensor was.

I ended up disabling and removing the sensor. I was able to get the skimmer to work perfectly with manual control.

I drain it every 3 or 4 days and gag at the smell of the perfectly disgusting output.
