Hey @Reef Breeders!
Can you give me a little par information about this light?

I have had this light on my IM NUVO 10 since November.
I don't have a par meter, nor do I have access to borrow one.
I currently only have softies in the tank, but even they seem to be growing slowly.
Does anyone else use this light on a 10g and have settings they see growth with?

What settings do you run it at? Does it have settings?

It's a very simple programming. 3 Channels and 3 time slots to mimic daylight.
Time 1 - 7:30am. Sunrise.
Time 2 - 1:00pm. Sunlight.
Time 3 - 5:30pm. Sunset.

I should be going into work today or tomorrow to test and change water, so I'll check what settings I have programmed.

Did you happen to do this? I have the same light and wondering what my settings should be during the day time. Currently A-100 B-100 and C-10

I believe I'm running the same, 100, 100, 10.
I just am not really seeing any kind of growth with it, even though all I have in the tank is softies.

I have had ok growth on some sps but not much else. I have it on my frag/qt tank right now. I noticed the colour isn’t as good as frags from my dt under the photon light. I think at midday I’m running mine 85/85/50 because I prefer the more natural look. I’m slowly bumping it up to 100/100/60 I’m thinking but I’ll tweak the white a bit higher or lower to get to the same looking spectrum I’m at now and see if that helps.

Nobody has touched on this yet. But how young is the tank. I know in my experience, younger tanks tend to grow slower on average. But beyond that, sometimes corals of every kind can take forever to get going. My last tank was 10 years old when it was taken down and packed end to end. But even in that tank, new specimens would sometimes sit for 6+ months without even changing at all, then just randomly take off. Your rock flower anemones look good. The zoas aren’t shrunken or stretching. I’d pick a setting you like that isn’t too bright and just wait it out.

For $100 and return shipping costs you can "rent" one from BRS for 60 days. You have to purchase in full, but can return it within 60 days for a $100 restocking fee.

If you are spending hundreds or thousands on corals, this is a small price to pay to determine optimal lighting.

I agree a par meter to check intensity levels is of equal importance as testing water parameters. BRS has really inflated the cost of theirs though. There are cheaper options.

$37 for 3 days vs $100 for 2 months. I appreciated the longer rental so I could dial in multiple tanks and readjust if necessary but the cheaper, shorter duration rental is a nice option!

I appreciate this! I am definitely going to look into it! I've never used one before!

Would still love to hear what @Reef Breeders has to say on the product!
I've been scouring YouTube but really haven't seen any videos on this light! I recently purchased it from BRS and I'm not finding anything on the different settings. I am mostly interested in it for softies but I do have a large anemone.

I lost a BTA under it.
I didn't have any problems with rock flowers, though.
However, since switching to a used kessil a80 only a couple of weeks ago, my zoas and RFAs are already looking better.

Hi all,

just got this light and I have no idea how to set it up. What would be the proper setting so the light turns on, sunrise, sunset, moon light? And what power % do I give each setting for A, B, C?
