My approach to salt selection is this:

  • Choose the salt that more closely matches the system's target parameters
In my opinion, this aids in stability. A lot of folks have been successful with different brands of salt, so the great salt debate will never end. When I switched from IO to Fritz Blue Box, I chose that new salt because it had a lower alkalinity (my preference) than what IO's was.

Note: Some may choose a salt with slightly higher parameters because that just means reduced individual parameter dosing. Other's choose a salt based on budgets and/or availability.

My belief is this, I think you'll do fine with either, just make sure to test regularly versus blindly trusting any brand. Mistakes can happen during manufacturing.
