Has anyone used either of these lights? Or know anything about them?

good for basic lighting but not going to grow any corals under them. Has the first one in 36" over my axolotl tank.

If you're wanting to have any corals that require more than "low" light you're going to want to get something else.
This is good for basic lighting etc, not a whole lot of power to grow corals etc.

Depends on the corals you want to grow....
Leathers and Mushrooms you can probably get by. Acros? No go.

Might be better to get a point source proven budget light like a nicrew or noopsyche instead of under lighting the full 36” with a bar. For that price you are close to those lights already, and they’ll give you up to 24”x24” coverage depending on what you want to grow.

How Deep is your tank? Can you share a picture?

Surely someone will have a recommendation based on your set-up and what direction that you really. really want to go as far as corals.

Advice here is often to go with a little more then you expect to allow for growth and to avoid having to buy a better light (or other equipment) 6 months to a year from now.

I'm going to be honest and say that I am partial to Quanta-Lights.com as of late. Recently I was looking to change up my lights after a rebuild. I got a lot of recommendations and did a lot of research into each. Ultimately, I decided to go with Quanta Helix line because I couldn't find anyone saying anything bad about them. I wasn't sure what I needed for my setup so I sent an email via a link on the website and Luca (the Owner/Operator) emailed me back and sent me in the right direction. I received my order and have since ordered a second set to convert my other tank over to Quanta. Price, Value, Light Spectrum, Simplicity, Customer Service and Build quality are all top of the line IMO. There are tons of good lights out there. This is just my experience. For comparison, I have used MH, T5, Aqua Illumination and Radion as well.

I've got a 100 watt nicrew on my 32 gallon. Its a good quality lower budget light that should grow anything you want in that tank.

The pictures really don't do the lights justice. It's a nice natural kind of blue without being overpowering. for now I just have a couple mushrooms, softies, the plate, pectinia and a couple Acros frags

Welcome to the world of reefing where everything is expensive and nothing is guaranteed. In 2003 my LFS asked me if I could light a $100 bill on fire and not cry, then I was ready for a reef tank.

Personally if money is an issue spending on the tank then I would look into some older Radions. They are amazing lights and will grow what you need. Even a G4 will do what you want and at this point not break the bank. You’ll have so much more control over them as well and overall I think be happier with a higher end light like a Radion. Idk why but I had some of the best Acro growth with my G4’s compared to these new G6’s. Not sure why but they really loved those optics.
