Reef octo 150ss space saver skimmer

My brand new reef octo 150 ss space saver skimmer NOT working. The red adjustment pipe NO LONGER allows me to raise the water column. I did a sicce cleaner bath and for a brief time water rose Now unable to properly set water level. I used to love these skimmers But now I am thinking of going back to ASM G2 skimmer. Anyone have any thoughts pump works but the red pipe NO longer allows Proper Water height adjustment. Everything in proper alignment. Really angry skimmmer cost 359 and was only running 5 weeks. Thoughts? 125 gallon tank with sump another 25 gallons drain down volume. salinity 1.022.
