Amazing IMO - is this proper level for dry skimming, going away for a few weeks. I don't want to wet skim in fear my ATO container will run out of water. ( hope that made sense )
Anyone else have this INT 150 classic.

I have the Regal 150-int, my level is about where that snail is. The foam is usually up the neck to the top. I just cleaned it and changed filter socks. It’ll be normal in a couple hours

Mines not a classic but you’re pretty close. Until you get some film buildup in the neck you may have to adjust a bit. I run mine right at about the cup connection and it’s pretty dry

Thank you very much.
Not leaving for another 2 weeks, hopefully I'll get it dialed in.

Evaporation will outpace skimming removal by 5x or more, don't worry about normal skimming consistency, at least. You can always have a second ato source bucket available for your tank sitter or just buy/use a big trashcan temporarily if you need to store a lot.

You’re not gonna remove any water from the tank because it’s just gonna fill that cup up and it’s going to overflow back into the sump because you don’t have a shut off float 😅 I’d just get it dialed in the best I could and then put a hose on the drain tube on the bottom of the cup and put it into a bucket like said above or something. Even with that I would still wanna shut off float on that container because if that thing starts pulling a wet skim I mean, yeah you could literally pull more water out of your tank. Until your skimmer builds up a good film it’s pulling consistencies gonna be off a bit. If your tank’s pretty new, you can just shut it off and it won’t matter if you run it while you’re gone or you could just run it so it’s aerating and not even pushing up hard enough to even put anything into the cup. If you have a variable pump, you can turn the pump down to so it isn’t working as hard. I won’t run a skimmer anymore without a shut off float.
