reef octopus 110 classic skimmer problem

so i have had this reef octopus skimmer for sometime now and i am starting to have problems with it. it seems to do fine for a couple of days and then all of a sudden starts to overflow. cup will be pretty empty and then be overflowing. do any of you know what can cause this. also seems like it is putting more bubbles into my sump tan before. any ideas?

Sounds like it needs a good cleaning and some new adjustments.
