I got a reef octopus from my LFS owner. We were talking and he said he had one just needed a few parts, which I got. I ordered all piece.
Is it just connect and go with a skimmer. It’s my first time using one.

anything I should know

any and all advice and help will be appreciated

Turn that red knob towards closed position and slowly open up to adjust water height within chamber not allowing water to go above neck
Bubbles will start clear but as unit breaks in will start to pull inorganics
Some examples on you tube

That’s called adjusting height. Should be in 7-8” of water height
If water too high, raise unit and if too low, lower unit
