I have been running the skimmer since June, it was producing the thick amount of bubbles when it was first installed, I had the pump get some chaeto in it and cleaned it out.. since then the skimmer is now producing not as many bubbles. It still produces skim but the bubbles seem to be thinner. I have reinstalled the pump correctly but it's the same bubble type. Not sure if this is anything to worry about since it's still producing skim. I was going to turn the pump to full speed and then tune the water level to see if that made a difference.

When you say you cleaned it out...did you just remove the chaeto or did you actually clean the skimmer?

I cleaned everything out. Got a tooth pick and cleaned all the chaeto from the needle wheel, wiped down the inside of the cone, dried and everything.

Yep, mine does this too after cleaning. Usually takes up to a week to get back to normal.
