Reef octopus NW 150 inquiry

Hello reefers:
I get this skimmer new and i wanna know what the perfect water high for nw 150 rated up to 800 L
I saw many video and picture and im little confuse now .
The recommend high should be 7.1 inches but i saw video's they look they set it up to 9"
Any one use this model can lead me plz .

Depends on what pump. I have the otp pump and I run mine at 7.5 and I get this

I have the same with otp pump , its look better skimming comparing to mine , what is ur tank size and what bioload ?

I have 75 gal display with 20 gal sump. Bioload is fairly heavy

I DO dose 23ml of vinegar a day in this tank. That helps skimmate production as well.
