Hi Guys, So i have a Varios 8 Return Pump. I went to big with the pump as my 2 tunze wall overflows can only handle around 1500l/h each so roughly 3000. My issue is the varios pump is 10000 l/h and is controlled via 5 speed options only. I assume 1st speed is at 2000l/h and second speed is at 4000l/h. I need to be in between. Can my profilux 3.1 fine tune that and bring it to 3000l/h? If it can, what is the best method to do so?

Many Thanks for your help guys.

If it is this pump

And it has a 1-10 volt port you would need the cable for the 1-10volt port and then you would cut the cable as it not designed for the GHL 1-10volt port .

You would then purchase the breakout box.

And connect the adapter cable to that. Then program the 1-10 volt ports to a stream pump and then program the stream pump in a stream group.

Hope this helps.

Does the pump speed become infinitely adjustable, then, via the GHL, once all that is done? The control that comes with the Varios only has 5 speed settings....

Not going to say infinitely adjustable, but asking if it has more then 5 settings the answer is yes. Your now adjusting the voltage and not using the 5 preset settings that the unit comes with.

New to all of this but couldn't you put a bypass after the pump with ball valve that dumps excess water/pressure back into the sump?

I have a Varios 2 pump linked to my Profilux4 and using a GHL flow sensor, the Various is set to deliver 500 l/h.

The reason I want a controlled flow is that prior to the display refugium a UV is plumbed in so the flow needs to be at a specific rate.
