Hey there everyone, I am newly graduated from College with my Bachelor's in accounting, I am now working as an accountant and have had the opportunity to get into the saltwater tank world. I bought most of my gear/setup from Craigslist.

Questions:
1) I have been battling for a few days what I believe to be cyanobacteria? Also had some hair algae. Chaeto was thinning out and dying, removed it and lights out for two days now. Progress - It seems to be dying off/disappearing, any tips? Do pictures look like cyano?

Found a couple of [pineapple sponge?], and a red thing [not sure what it is]. I've read that sponges are a good sign, what about the red thing?

Question about feeding:

I take one cube of PE mysis, 1 small chunk of Hikari Mysis and one cube of Hikari rotifers [all frozen] and mix them with some tank water. I use this amount of food for around 4-5 days, feeding roughly every day [skip a day here and there]

I also feed pelleted new life spectrum "grow" and "algaemax" food ~ twice per week [around 5 pellets of each]

Am I feeding my fish too much? Too little?

My typical feeding is in the YouTube video above. I have purchased Reef Chili which I am going to feed 2-3 times per week to my three corals directly [not broadcast].

In the picture of the Bengaii, there are three of them there. My clowns did not show any aggression towards them when they were added, and they died one by one. The first one I found suctioned to a powerhead. The next day, the second was missing, and then two days later the third was missing. I never found the two bodies, assumed that the snails found them overnight.

I had slight ammonia reading after the two disappeared, but it quickly dissipated [I also did a large water change just to be sure]. I feel like my fish source was not a good one for those three.

We [wife and I] decided after visiting a LFS to give two Bengaii's a shot again as they were very active and attentive in their tanks. [the first fish were ordered without a chance to observe before bringing home]

These two are eating ferociously as you can see in the video, and are hanging out on the same half of the aquarium as the rest of my fish.

Had some aiptasia come in on the zoa rock, which i've been treating with Aiptasia-X, and I also added a peppermint shrimp. I hardly ever see the peppermint shrimp around the tank.

We are in the process of listing and selling our house, as well as purchasing a new house so there is no room for quarantine tank as of now. When we get settled in to our next home, I have a 10g which will be set up for quarantine. If/when I catch a PetSmart $1/gallon sale, I am planning to buy a 40g as a quarantine.

Future: We are planning to build a new house in 2-4 years which will feature a 8-10ft long tank [~240 or larger] in-wall tank with fish room.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
