In one of my working Reef-Pi implementations I selcted 'https://...' in settings.
After this, I cannot reach the web-interface anymore, neither via 'http' nor 'https'. Reef-Pi refuses the connection.

What can I do?

I can reach the Raspbbery Pi via ssh.

Did you check the error logs? sudo journalctl -fu reef-pi.service
Did you check whether the reef-pi is (still) running? sudo systemctl status reef-pi.service

Please dump the logs so we can see what's up.

Many thanks for your hints!

Did you check whether the reef-pi is (still) running? sudo systemctl status reef-pi.service

Yes, it was running.

Did you check the error logs? sudo journalctl -fu reef-pi.service

I wasn't able to understand the many logs.

Because of urgency I decided to install Reef-Pi from scratch on a new SSD, import an older database I saved luckily and updated the settings. Now, Reef-Pi is running again - without the risk to boil my tortoise eggs ...

Again: many thanks for your efforts to help me, highly appreciated! :)

That's exactly what I had to do when I first started out and made the mistake of selecting https...... simply started afresh and imported my settings from a copy of the database.

Always remember to make regular downloads of your database in case something happens. I find it's always me that makes the mistakes and nothing to do with reefpi and had my last one running for 2 years without a hiccup until a power outage corrupted my SD card.

Think I will be installing a SSD for my next setup and just keep a copy on the SD card in case of emergencies.

So glad you got it sorted and are thinking outside the box for the use of reef-pi
