Sometimes the most memorable part of a reef isn’t one animal on its own, but the relationship it has with another resident…a regular cleaning appointment, an unlikely buddy, a fish that treats a coral like home, a pairing of some kind, or a feud that never quite ends.

What’s the most memorable tankmate dynamic you’ve seen in your reef?

BONUS POINTS: Introduce us to the characters and tell us what they get up to.

my little waspfish has taken an interesting and liking to my acanthophyllia he is always nestled under the tissue with only his little head sticking out, it reminds me of the clownfish and anenome symbiotic relationship

My yellow tangs have started hanging out together and cleaning the rocks as a group. It's pretty awesome watching them all together.

I went with, "fish adopted a coral."

Trying to be brief here:
- My solo female clownfish was/is my first fish
- Too much of a wimp to try an anemone
- I like duncan corals so bought a single head a few years ago that has grown into many (heads)
- After some time nipping at the duncan earlier on (when I thought the duncan was a goner), they're now happy together (at least quite a bit of the time)

Not much of a picture taker but here's one that I like:

I know that's not anything crazy but I was pleasantly surprised anyway

my little male clown has been trying to host my Duncan but its only 4 big heads and 4 more small heads so its funny trying to seem him rub into it ( he got kicked out of the nem by my female)

I voted other. Previously to getting my pyramid butterfly most of my fish didn't do much, hid, etc.

After adding the butterfly - who swims the whole length of the tank all day long, all the fish are out all the time.

It was a very happy accident.

Firefish and yellow watchman goby were a bonded pair in my tank!

wow that must be cool to see! do you still have them?
Sadly, the Firefish ended up passing away last year. Was out and about one day, next day went missing and was never to be seen again
