I am looking at creating some reef-related 3d prints for my own use and for some of my friends (frag racks, algae scrapers, etc). I need to find some magnets that can be used in those prints and after doing some research have found that plastic coated neodynium magnets are the way to go. I have seen lot's of recommendations for K&J Magnetics and their D84PC & DC6PC magnets.

However, I am located in Canada and the cost of shipping + USD conversion could add up to alot of money. Do any of you know of some alternatives which I could buy in Canada? I would like to avoid epoxy coated magnets as I read they were prone to cracking which leads to rust.

I think the epoxy falls when it heats and cracks while turning impellers (as in power heads and pump applications?)
I don’t know if it’s going to be a problem with magnets that are just stationary holding a frag rack?

I read something about moving them around causing hairline scratches. I would prefer not taking the risk.
