Reef safe pufferfish?

I’ve been wanting a pufferfish in my reef tank, I already have a Toby so I’m not sure another Toby would work, and I can’t have a porcupine because of how big they are, I have a 120g tank, are there any other large ish puffers that could be reef safe in terms of coral?

No not usually. Puffers are not reef safe. However, there are exceptions none of the bigger puffers are reef safe and because of their size they will negatively impact water quality. So I would not recommend you add another one.

There are a couple of "with caution" small puffers, like Valentini. But it's a risk any way you slice it. I'd move a Valentini myself, but I'd hate to see him start trouble.

Most puffers get pretty large... common to grow over 12" for many species. While they don't usually eat corals on purpose they may bite things because that's what they do. They are definitely not safe for inverts. You could try a spotted or figure 8 (typically sold as brackish) as they stay pretty small.

I would say no. I consider them more in the predator tank family.
