Hey everyone! What is considered to be a “reef safe” water hose?

Should I look for BPA free and Drinking water safe?
What is the desired use of the hose?

Is it for the tank plumbing which means it will be circulating water permanently?
Or simply for transfer from a mixing station to the tank?

In the first case I'd use pipe designed for potable (drinking) water, as some types of plastics can leach contaminants such as tin and others.

if its for temporary plumping, i use vinyl tubing for reactors or uv. if its for siphoning i just use a garden hose. and if its for permanent plumbing i use abs or pvc.
