Reef Spotlight - March 2012 - "Mike & Terry"

I don't think I've taken a moment to comment yet, but I just wanted to say your tank is an inspiration and is beautiful! I hope to someday have a tank that looks half as good. You both are very involved and obviously love the hobby and it shows.

Thank you Cyber-Burn!

Since we're coming into the home stretch, we thought we'd share a few more pics to bring it on home.

These are underwater shots taken with our Panasonic DMC-TS3:

And a few fish pics:

We moved our P. bellae's into our DT about 3 weeks ago.
The former female has morphed into a handsome teenage male:

Not at all partial to my Belle's, lol!

After numerous attempts to get a good shot of the terminal male, this is the best I could come up with. He is lightning fast, LOL!

Holanthias Borbonias:

C. Lineatus:

C. Rubrisquamis:

C Truncatus:

We'll try to add a few more tomorrow.

Awesome! Awesome! and Awesome! I need fish picture lessons...pronto! lol

Thanks Craig! You take great pics btw, but I appreciate the compliment. For fish pics, I have found that I get better results from either my 18-200mm zoom lens or my 90mm macro lens. Both give a nice bokeh, but the macro gets a lot of detail. The wrasses can be lightning fast and I've found I get better results if I anticipate where they are going and pan with them as I take the pic. For fish shots, I use manual focus the majority of the time, sometimes semi and I take a lot of pics, lol.

tank is beautiful and great growth in such a short amount of time. also What is your water bill like just curious?

Thanks for the nice words!
We'd have to look into the water bill...that would be tricky to figure out water costs associated with the tank since we have irrigation for the lawn and other things that use water.

Your tank is amazing! I hope to have one even half as beautiful. Thanks for the pics and video

You guys are incredible! How you get these picturesque settings in your tank and having a tank so beautiful that every shot is just as amazing as the one before! Just simply awesome you two! Thank you so much for sharing, not only your beautiful tanks but your knowledge as well so that we may all have something as wonderful
