biospeheres really arent necessary assuming you have rock in the tank. filter roller is good for mechanical filtration, I'd also add a bag of high quality carbon such as this: https://amzn.to/3YPKj2n to remove any unidentified dissolved contaminants, as well as keep your water crystal clear and smelling nice.
I would say plenty with the roller since I don't run any. I'll toss some floss in when I'm blowing rocks or cleaning glass. Other than that I don't run mechanical filtration on my 2 AIOs I assume you have rock also?

I would use the roller and see how it performs.
I have been considering one on my 15.
My 15 I run carbon and floss sometimes, but a coarse sponge most of the time just to keep my return from getting plugged up.
No need for bio media it will just collect detrius.
Sand and some actual live rock with your current is all you would need.
I run my current 15 this way and my old 20 ran the same way but without sand and all live rock.
Both systems are at 10 months from start.

I have no experience. I only have a roller on my SPS tank and it's a RS reefmat. I've heard some good things about @NatureDimensions nano rollers but again no first hand experience. I have trouble with low nutrients so I don't bother adding more filtration at this stage.
I see they're on sale at BRS I'm half tempted to grab one and run it on one side and leave the other open.
