My guess would be because a lot of the big companies are located in coastal states.

Maybe if we have one at the NY Reefapalooza, I can go. It would be cool if they had the NY Reefapalooza at the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center. That would be great having it at an actual aquarium where a bunch of the speakers actually work. Plus I'm sure most people would love to have all the awesome tanks to look at instead of an empty warehouse set up like a flea-market, lol.
