I will try to get better pictures and detail as time permits. The colors are much better in person, this is just a webcam photo.

The tank is a little over 2 years old. Mainly SPS. Some small LPS kept in the sand bed.

2019.09.26 - Red Sea.jpg

Lighting - 4 x AI Hydra HD 52
Flow - 2 x Gyre 250
Return - Sicce SDC 9
Reef Octopus Elite 200 skimmer
GFO used when needed in a spyglass reactor.
GHL doser and profilux

Started with dry rock and reef flake.

Target parameters:
Alk 7.8 to 8.1
Ca 435 ppm
Mg 1350 ppm
NO3 - 3 ppm
PO4 - 0.05 ppm

I use Red Sea blue bucket salt. I maintain parameters with BRS Soda ash, BRS Ca, and Tropic Marin Part C. I also add Red Sea traces according to calcium uptake, except for the potassium which maintains at 400 ppm using the TM Part C. Traces tracked and adjusted with ICP tests quarterly.
