I need some assistance on creating a schedule through the reefbreeders app.

this is a struggle for me. I don't understand why though.

got the light synced up with my app, lights finally came on after fighting with it.....
created a number of schedules but none seemed to do anything.
started with a brand new schedule. set up my time on/time off. all good there.
got to the light intensity sections. set up my segments with times and intensity %. placed everything where I wanted them, got to the end and hit save/update. lights didnt change. went back into the schedule I just created and all my sliders are back down to 30%, across the board. Did this several times with the same results. grrrrrrr

went into manual mode, and was able to change light % there with no issues. only thing was that I lose the manual settings once I close that screen. so manual mode doesn't do much for me. but I could at least get the colors to adjust.

decided to use a schedule that a community member created. copied it in, edited it for my needs, and that didn't work. Was able to adjust time on/off, but the light intensities could not be changed to what I wanted. They kept resorting back to the member's schedule that I started with. right now, I am using that schedule cause I at least have blues. little too blue for my liking but its better than what I had.

it's definitely operator error. I remember having the same issues with the AI LED lights I used to have.

why can I not adjust my light intensity and it stick once saved? why do my intensities keep going back to 30%?
does anyone else use the app with the same light? run into these problems?

Is this a new light? Also are you on the new reefbreeder app and not the old one called reef nexus? Asking because many photons were running on the old app and need to be migrated over to the new app. I have 3 photons V2 pros and have never had a problem making changes using the old app or the new one.

EDIT. Not sure if this helps but I do remember when you change a percentage you have to hit enter before leaving that box or it will revert back to the previous percentage. For example, you have the on time at 1Pm 50% and change it to 60% you have to hit enter after you change the 50 to 60 before you leave that box and move to the off time setting or it stays at 50%.

I reached out, waiting to hear back

I've created 5 new schedules changing times and light intensities. as all the schedules prior to, I can change times all day long. but my blues will not go higher than 30% no matter what I do. I don't understand what I'm missing.

Can anybody help me with this “reset” button? I cannot for the life of me find it. I have the V2 pro 48”… I see the little gold and silver think on the top side, but it does not act like a button at all. I need to factory reset this light to be able to get back to a place where I can connect the light to my app. The LED status light is currently solid green… I need to reset the light to get it into the blinking blue. I just have zero clue how to push or even find this so called reset button.

I have been in contact with reefbreeders and we have figured out my issue!!

I have an android, not an iPhone. For android users, when you adjust the light intensity %, you need to tap DONE on the keyboard for it to accept the change. Dont tap the back arrow. Tapping done is key!!!

Once I did that, everything is saving now.

Definitely operator error!!

You can reach out to reefbreeder under the sponsor forum. They have been pretty responsive to me in the past

You have the newer version where there is an actual button. I have the pre 2025 build. The location is the same but instead of an obvious button to push it’s something flat and located somewhere inside on the top. I really wish I had your style with the obvious button.

This is the endless cycle I’m stuck in. If it’s not blinking red, then it will just go solid green. I don’t know how to reset the light to get back to a point where I can connect it to my WiFi and add it to a tank.
