My 2 reefbreeders arrived.
I thought I could connect using my phone as a wifi hot spot. I do it for my laptop.
I have a message sent into RB.
Do I have to purchase a router and internet connection?
I do everything through my phone and have not had internet access for 10+ years.
My other light, radion, use blue tooth.
Any help before RB gets back to me would help. Thanks.

I had some trouble with mine recently and had to have my father come over with his networking wizardry. I remember the main issue was they canning connect through 5G

I am not sure if your phone can choose what signal to broadcast. But try turning off 5G I can’t remember if it’s 2.5 or 2.4. I’m not very computer savvy haha.

Once it connects I think it will be fine to go back to using 5G
Thanks my phone is an old S10 android no 5g so.
My daughter said I need internet access for it to work. Ai and radion apps are what I was using on my phone.
I dont use a computer.

Yeah there may be some work around but internet access definitely easiest.
