1. Do you have other pets besides your aquarium pets and if so what are they?

The household has a dwarf hamster, 2 parakeets, and a chinchilla.

2. In terms of "affection", how do other pets differ from your aquarium pets?

The aquarium pets don't shed feathers or fur and they keep their poop inside the tank instead of spreading it around the house and the yard like the "Other Rodents" do. For this fact alone, I find my fish to be very affectionate and respectful in a manner way beyond what mammal pet provides.

Find here a quick photo of my "Pet of the Month."

Our house is a total zoo, and we love it that way! The tank is a little different from the rest in that my husband is completely terrified of helping with any maintenance. I love it as much as the rest of the pets, but he just tolerates it - doesn't quite understand why its worth the work

Love my dogs. Tolerate the drool. There are Trixie the pit, Bartholomew the bullmastiff and I’m picking up Maurice the Great Dane tomorrow.

That is awesome. I have a Trixie too. Your food bill looks like it’s gonna be a lot higher though. She’s a year in 2 weeks.

Gorgeous. Gorak is a yellow collar , 12 now. Hand fed him from a fearless chic. He’s a bit neglected with everyone else around so he’s developed a bad attitude. I can only handle him on good days now.

Tina the cat. I also work with primates, so my life is pretty animal-filled in every aspect! Haha

Somebody stole my Oreo. But we just call our cat Kitty for some reason. She’s a 2 year old rescue. She’s got a bad attitude too.

And finally, waffles our ****zu. 9. He’s the rock. Poor guy gets harassed by everyone. But when he’s done he gets up and walk out.

He likes to watch my boyfriend play video games lol. Since he is new we have not tried to handle him yet as he settles in but he seems more interested in the environment outside the tank.

The fish just care if I'm walking up with food

I also have a freshwater tank in addition to the reef.

This is my Bengal, she's always into something!! Little Miss Eva very outspoken, always talking...
The other one is my love bug, Seger. Can't keep him off my lap. He was in the middle of a yawn which made him look like he's laughing. He's a big boy!!!

This is Benny, he is a three legged cocker mix that goes almost everywhere with us. Some of the people at Premium Aquatics can attest to this.
I love my tank, and I genuinely feel bad when I lose a fish or coral, but its completely different, IMO.

I posted earlier and have many types of pets. I’ll be straight here. If I had as many dogs or cats die as I have fish I wouldn’t be able to have dogs n cats anymore. Not legally mind you. I’ve not lost THAT many fish. But emotionally. I wouldn’t be able to take it. So for me, there is a difference. Although. If my Valentini puffer dies I may take bereavement leave from my job.
