Hello guys,

I am new to the forum as well as reef aquariums. Had freshwater tanks for many years but now finally got a reefer XL200.

The tank has been setup for almost 3 weeks now and nearly finished with the cycle. One thing that bugs me is the auto top off. I'm sure there were many posts before but I could not find an answer that worked for me. I've tried everything, taking the valves apart checking tubes, just about everything.

At this point it feels like that the float valve has been setup incorrectly as the valve is actually pressing out of the water instead of pressing onto the water surface of the return chamber. Is there any chance that the ATO valves have been constructed incorrectly or can I simply turn it over to get the float pressing down onto the water?

Happy to be here at R2R and thank you for all your advise.

Cheers!
Alex

For some reason it seems to be working now. Never turned it over but perhaps dialed it in correctly.

Thanks for your feedback.
