I am planning a tank upgrade from my 65g Marineland to the Red Sea Reefer XXL 625. I have mostly SPS/Acros under a 36" AquaticLife T5 hybrid with two AI Prime HD's.

Would a purchase of two Ecotech XR30's be sufficient enough to continue growing out these corals? I would rather have less fixtures (vs. XR15's) as I'm tired of lights sitting on top of a tank and looking for a cleaner looking install.

If the corals remain exactly where they are with the lights positioned overhead, yes. If you plan to expand your SPS real estate I'd probably plan to add a third XR30 (I run a pair of XR30s and a pair of XR15s on my 750XXL).

I run 2 xr15 pros on a 625xxl. The way I look at is I'm not growing coral on my floors and walls or the tank glass. I have a mixed reef with sticks and various montis growing all over except on the sand bed. I even have 2 clams on the sandbed and a wellso the size of a dinner plate doing just fine.
