Apex controlled (at least when I have it hoked up :) )

Lights start off with 2 reefbrights for two hours, then two blue+ turn on for an hour, next comes my other 6 bulbs with everything else on for six hours...then it reverses back down...
My main secrete is just doing water changes every other day...a small 5 gallon on a 120 does not create much of a swing...I do larger ones as needed when doing maintenance...IMO is all about keeping levels as stable as can be...I try to keep everything as simple as can be as well...a 5 gallon change does not take long when set up right to do it...I figure with the amount of time I look at the tank a five min change 3 times a week should be easy....just set up a day and do it every week like that...a 50 gallon brute can on wheels makes life easy in the reef world...

Pastel Acans

These ones came in really bad shape...I am surprised how fast they are recovering...kind of like an orange Twizzler...or mayan Suns ...they still has a way to go but decided to share.

I am running some of the first ones RB ever shipped lol...I have an XHO on the way tomorrow for my 38...Ill see if the are really that much brighter

Nice! Well, they seem to be doing the trick. You'll have to report back though on the XHO vs. og model. Might be going that route if/when I swap out my smaller tank for a bigger one and need more coverage.

OK I just got them today...they are brighter for sure but also have a lot more purple tint to them...really noticeable...I dont know if I like it more or not yet...I tried to call Joy at RB but as normal no answer...I am going to keep calling to see what the reason for the more purple color is...Ill give some more feed back next week...

I cant get a good shot of these but they are sweet...I love the spots in the center..they had a lil more pink when I got them but I think they will color back up fine... anything pink is always good in my book :)

My Jawbreaker mama has been getting really crazy bubbles on it...does anyone else have this happening?

What a pretty tank and your photography is so outstanding. Do you keep the reefbrites on when you photograph or just t5s.

Thanks! I shoot my SPS under full light always...and the other stuff I mix it up with...most of the time it with 2 blue+ on and 2 RB...I like to shoot them under what I enjoy looking at them as...but full daylight
shots are always fun to capture details....sad they dont get as much love these days...

Got these Butt Munchers last night and couldn't wait to snap a photo of them...they will get more black in the center as well...cant wait for the black to show up :)
