I have a Red Sea Reefer XXL750 that's about 10 months old. It is mostly small SPS frags now, with some softies and lps mixed. It will eventually be an SPS dominant tank, when it all grows in.

My Reefi Duo Extreme settings are in the attached text file. You can upload my settings to your lights to see how they look on your tank. Beware, I have the UV turned all of the way up at peak, so you would want to let your corals acclimate before adopting such a high UV setting.

In general, I run a bluer tank in the morning and evening, and a whiter tank in the afternoon and at peak.

I am struggling with mine. I would like them to come on by 0800 and turn off by 2030. I have SPS and do not like a lot of blue. I like my tanks to be a bit lighter in color. And since I am new to SPS I am afraid to attempt to use anything other than the Pre-set New SPS setting. I have a 40 gallon breeder. This is not my only tank. It is the only one I have SPS in. I hope to see others put their schedules in here.

To be honest, I'm just not that impressed by these lights. They do ok for me and I have a heavy SPS mixed reef. You can see it in my signature. Given a second chance, I wouldn't get these lights again. Nevertheless, they do perform. My settings are attached but you don't like blue and my settings may be too blue for you.

I had been going back and forth about Radions and Reefis for about a month, even started a comparison thread on here, ended up getting the reefis. Is there anything in particular that you don’t like? I’d be interested to hear your experience with them. I am still waiting for mine to arrive.

There are actually a lot of annoying issues to contend with. Too many frankly, to go in-depth. Suffice to say I had problems since day one beginning with the setup. I have three, they didn't ever sync properly so changes need to be made on each individual one. One was not working properly with the others and had to fight tooth and nail with Daniel to send out a replacement. That replacement one has played nicely with the other three since. He still thinks the original one I sent back is fine after "bench testing" it and having it on a friend's tank. Likely an issue with playing well with the other lights but who knows. I haven't had the same problems with the replacement that I was having with the original, so... Sometimes, if you have a power outage and the internet goes down, when the power comes back on it reverts to some arbitrary time and runs that schedule. That sucks when you wake up in the morning and your lights are blazing as if midday. You then have to go in and manually set the time for each light till the whole thing does a reset at 01:00. The instructions and videos to set up just plain old suck. Lazy seller IMHO. Daniel refuses to accept that some lights have issues and that the user interface is junk. The ramp settings are counterintuitive. You set an intensity and ramp time and you expect that set intensity at that set time, but no, the time you input is the start time of the ramping. It's just backward and you have to do some minor mental gymnastics to figure your lighting schedule out. In short, it's clunky, counterintuitive, buggy at times, and just a pain in the "bee-hind" to work with Daniel without feeling belittled.

The lights are adequate when they work and they do work most of the time, except when they don't. All the quirky things about the web and app interface are cumbersome and counterintuitive. You'll know what I mean when you get them. Perfectly honest here, my corals had better color with my SB Reeflights basic 16's controlled via the Apex with the apex hack. The dimming feature is nice on the ReeFI's. There is a need for an on/off switch for the amount of time you need to cycle them to get them to reset themselves when you have issues otherwise it's unplugging from the back of the units to cycle them. That's a favorite first-step solution of Daniel's when you do have issues, so why not include an on/off switch? The warranty is the best but I'm dubious about Daniel actually standing behind his lights unless you document every issue you are having and your light cleaning maintenance schedule or offer up your last drop of blood. But, to be fair, Radion customer care is horrendous. Maybe Daniel is laying the groundwork to operate as they do.

I know there are some hardcore ReeFi fan folks out there and this is not a bash on Daniel or ReeFi response but an honest, truncated, explanation of my personal experience.

Best of luck but I would have steered you towards the Radions.

Wow, thanks for taking the time to explain all that. I will say the interface was one of the things that I was hesitant of, looks like it needs to be modernized, also not sure if they have this but with my AI I could set a schedule and then preview it, so it would go through the whole 8-10hr schedule in like a minute just to see what each setting looks like. But thanks for taking the time, they arrive Thursday so gonna see what they are all about. Did they grow sps well? I’ve been called Pdub since I was a kid, first name Patrick last name starts with a W.

They do grow SPS's well enough and I have good PAR numbers on my settings, but I also have Orphek light bars that span the back of the tank and two Illumagic Blaze X Minis as supplemental lighting.

PAR map below with old SB Reef light setup in red and with ReeFi in orange. Again bot with supplemental lighting on.

Thats a sweet tank, from the map it does look like the ReeFi puts out good par. I’m going to try your setting once I get them set up.

Remember those PAR numbers are at peak AND with the Illumagic and Orpheks going full tilt.

I have access to a meter so I’ll map my tank, how far off the water are yours mounted?

How deep is your tank? I’m not sure what kind of meter the guy has, I used it once before on an older tank with AI.
20 inches top to bottom. SPS's at the bottom all the way to the top.

dang, sorry to hear that you had such a crappy experience working with Daniel and the lights.

I was fortunate to not have had any issues come up yet. My two lights synched without issue on setup. I've also had several power outages since setting the lights up and luckily haven't had your issues either with the lights losing time. They have either kept their time, or resynched with the internet quick enough that I didn't even notice they lost time.

I do agree that the interface needs some modernization.

I feel like I'm being personally attacked. Here's my side if I'm allowed to post.

I've tried very hard to make all my customers happy and learned the hard way that there's someone just unable to please. First they bark at my instructions to help them to figure out their network issues are too vague. Not knowing their level of computer/networking technical background, so I then provided detail simple step by step instructions. Then I'm accused of patronizing with too many trivial steps. When someone think they are an expect, it's so hard to get them to just do some diagnosis steps and report back. So I ended up just replacing an Extreme and paid for shipping both ways half way around the world. When I received the returned unit, nothing was wrong with it.

Do you find the uv being all the way up helps with coral growth or color, and does it cause any algae growth?

I also am not great with setting up my own lights. This was my first purchase of these type of lights. I wish there were more preset options. I would like to see one with less blue. Or at least has the blues on early enough in the day and more whites so I can see the fishes and corals after I get home. I have nothing to compare these with. I did have them to close to my water and almost fried my corals. I raised them and things are doing better. I will wait A bit to let the corals settle in after almost killing them and try @lexinverts settings.

I appreciate everyone being helpful with these newer lights.
