Hello and happy Wednesday!

I was thinking about something lately. I might have even mentioned it before a long time ago. Our local town always has a Best of the Best awards that happen each year and it's based primarily on the people of the town voting. I was wondering could it work in the saltwater aquarium industry?

What if we created BEST OF categories and then let everyone nominate, vote on and then we award the winners each year?

It could be best of companies, best of products etc..

Let me hear what you think about it and offer any ideas if you have them!

I think this would be really fun to do!! Maybe like a live stream of awarding the awards to people or something like that?

Nice try Rev, but how will you determine that a member who votes for a particular item actually owns that particular item or actually has some experience with it? If they don't actually own it or have any experience with it, is that member's reply actually meaningful in the vote count? I think not...

At a minimum, shouldn't you be asking respondents to file a description of why they think a particular item is worth their esteemed vote? How about a minimum of 200 characters in their explanation?

Maybe you could do something like equipment of the day. Pick a different item each day and have people post their experiences and pros and cons of that item. Otherwise it just turns into a popularity contest of my stuff is better than your stuff.
