I'm currently using a bh1450 and have been for months since I was a tester. It's an awesome pump, puts out zero heat and is dead silent. I'm using mine on a 75g display from my 50g sump from the basement pushing 12ft oh head. Also running all my reactors on it besides up to tank.

I have been in contact with Chris at Reeflo and he told me that there has been a few documented issues with heat transfer on this new model of pump. From my understanding it is still in the testing phase and Chris was very helpful. He is sending me a new core, which he believes will rectify the heat transfer problem I am experiencing with my particular pump. Reeflo has always been an upstanding company and will continue to use their products.

I've got a BH1100, and I was also one of the testers. I think it's a great pump and tiny for what it does, in comparison to more traditional external pumps. It's similar in design to some Bell and Gossett commercial pumps (shape, inlet/outlet strategy). Move a ton of water and dead quiet.
