Does anyone know what kind of plastic the Red Sea ReefMat hose connector is made of? I need to connect it to pvc pipe and am trying to figure out what kind of cement to use.

MyA installer used pvc cement to glue the hose to a pvc pipe and 10 days later my leak sensor went off! Looks like the hose was sweating ever so slowly that it built up a puddle in the bottom of my stand. I wonder if the pvc cements is too strong/corrosive? I know he reefmat came with tubes of some type of silicone sealant.

no problem. he just replaced hose with pvc pipe which is what he wanted to do in the first place. i thought using the hose gave me a little more flexibility if i ever wanted to move it in the sump.
