My reefmat, which I bought used but has been working great for 2 months, used the entire brand new roll (changed 3 days ago) last night.
1) Has this happened to any of you?
2) Do I just need to clean a sensor?
3) Can I take the roll out, roll it back and start again?

EDIT: Wasn't what I thought it was. Problem was with old media in bottom basket. Sensor was working fine. See below.

I've been having the same issue with my Klir. I believe it is the optical sensor, and I'm thinking about modifying it to run on a float switch instead. I dunno how you feel about voiding warranties, though.

On the off chance that anyone else has the same problem as me, I shall just leave this here:
The little media basket at the bottom of the reefmat had a a bag of ChemiPure in it, and I guess it got a bit old, and was blocking the waters egress through the bottom of the filter, so the water backed up, hit the sensor, which figured the roll was dirty (blocking the water) and kept rolling it out.
So it wasn't a problem with the sensor (other than the sensor is dumb), but with the media basket.
I removed the chemipure, rolled the filter back up (took a LONG time) and reset it.
Everything is now working great again.
Maybe this will help someone in the future. Or maybe I should have figured it out earlier and am a remarkable dummy.

Thx for posting. I just bought the reefmat 250 and use the same media so I’ll keep an eye on this.
