Starting a new project at the house. Got a ReefSavvy 100 gallon frag tank which is currently on the road. Below are some pictures and video of the tank before leaving Miami. Felix does AMAZING work and worth the wait. The sump arrived today too, so I'll post more pictures of that later. (It's a Royal Exclusiv Dreambox)

Dimensions are 60"W x 24"W x 16"H

Beautiful. The sig on the back of the tank is a nice touch.

They are amazing works of art. I am in the process of setting mine up now. I have had the tank for a year and because of family health issues, the build has been on the back burner until now. To show you what kind of a person Felix is, I had a question about the Ghost overflow and left him a note on Messenger Sunday evening. He called me at 9:00pm Sunday night to answer my question. You won't find that kind of concern or service in many places.

Looking forward to following your build. Post some pics of that bad boy sump too!

Here’s some pics of the sump. I put it on the dining room table so my wife has something to complain about tomorrow...

Tank arrived today. It’s in the car until some friends come over tomorrow and help me carry it in the house. Spoke to Chris Benner tonight and he will have the stand shipped out next week. Should start coming together.

After riding around in the back of my car since last Friday, I finally got my brother to come over and help me carry it in the house.

Tank in Car.jpg

Where did I put it? On the kitchen table of course... Gives the woman something to complain about...

This tank is a work of art. Well worth the wait. I'm so glad I went ReefSavvy.

Chris Benner is staining the stand this week so I should have it next week if all goes well.

Been a few days since I've posted an update. The stand has arrived. It's amazing as one would expect from Chris Benner of Sticks and Stones. Like Felix from ReefSavvy, Chris does such beautiful work. (I even bought many of my dry goods from Chris as well.) Enough typing, here are some pics.
IMG_5247.jpg

By design, Chris matched the finish similar to my flooring and kitchen table which are in the same room.

IMG_5246.jpg

Dreambox is in place and I've started plumbing it.

IMG_5248.jpg

While not pretty, I'm storing my dry good inside it as I use them. Once plumbing is complete, I'll be installing the Apex and associated controllers.

IMG_5249.jpg

A pic of the rear of the tank. Can't have enough unions and isolation/gate valves in my opinion.

IMG_5250.jpg

Here's a picture of the kitchen table... As expected, the wife isn't happy I'm using her table as a work bench to assemble the plumbing parts. Especially with family coming over tomorrow for Christmas Eve tomorrow!

Man. I envy people who are good at plumbing. Plumbing is evil.
In fairness, I own an HVAC and Plumbing construction company, and the guys at work would never let me hear the end of it if my plumbing looked hacked in. The key to plumbing is just patience. Like all good things in this hobby, DON'T RUSH.

Did some more work to the tank over the holiday.
IMG_5252.jpg

Return piping at the back of the tank is finished.
IMG_5256.jpg

Started mounting the controllers and other electronics. I've got some cable management trays showing up in the next few days so that should clean everything up nice.
