I just saw this a short time ago and it seems to be spreading quickly. If the photo is unclear it is like a white milky thick film on the rocks with a few small growths coming out of it. with small flower like heads not many yet. Please advise# reef squad

That’s my best guess based on my experience. Here’s a sponge in my tank, maybe someone else can chime in.

If it’s the same it can smother coral by growing over it. I take a toothbrush to it and siphon it out if it gets to be too much.

Totally agree Matt. It is fine unless it starts encroaching on nearby corals. Toothbrush works great to scrape it off, just make sure to siphon it out.

Since I first asked this question it just slowly disappeared in a couple of days , however now I know and will be ready if it happens again. Thankyou
