Hello guys, how is f going? I’m here to ask about converting one of the chambers in the back of an AIO into a Refiugum? Dose ain’t one here have one? I’m getting a Innovative Marine 30L and was thinking about doing it, but I’m not sure if it works and if it is worth it. If you guys have one please share some images, ideas and expriences. I’d love to see how t looks on your tanks.

Thanks a lot,

Best.

Not sure if this helps, but I considered the IM 30 Long before I bought a JBJ Rimless 30. My plan was to use the third IM chamber with both baffles open at the top as a refugium. My concern was that if hair algae (or other nuisance) broke out from the light it would be a pain to remove. Maybe others who have tried can elaborate on this from experience.

I decided the best plan for my small system is to have a hang on back refugium or macroalgae reactor. This way if something other than chaeto starts growing that is undesirable, the entire unit can be removed and cleaned.
