Alright MH guys I have a question for a reflector choice

1. Hamilton cabo sun reflector @ 10" off the water

2. LB mini @ 16" maybe higher

Ballast is 250w galaxy amd a 20k coralvue bulb

1. Hamilton cabo sun reflector @ 10" off the water

Is there a specific reason as to why

Well proven reflectors
That's what I used when I was running MH

Thats the minimum recomened by manufacturer

We need a par test between the two at the same height :-)

Im using a hamilton over a 30g cube right now with the above metioned ballast and bulb im just not 100% suree how well it will cover a 40b. I cant seem to find anyone using these reflectors, and I've been reading a lot about the LB reflectors and to get the spread it recomended 16"

With mine at 8" is easily covers a 30"x30" area. Raising it a couple more inches will def give you the coverage you need. Not sure if it really needs to be that high. It will not only light your tank at 16" but also the whole room lol

Lol so RB mini does that well huh? How deep is your tank

24" deep. Running 250w radium on galaxy ballast hqi and grow sps on the sand bed

Awsome looks like ill ditch the hamilton
