I hadn’t seen your DIY recipe. Seems simple enough and something I can trust to get consistent results. I assume you specifically mention Coke bottles because they allow for the correct volume I’ of water? Should they be filled all the way to the top then?

Good scales are much more readily available today and I’d weigh out both the solid and maybe the liquid. The Coke bottle approach was a crude diy.
