I have a refugium in the back middle chamber of my biocube 29 held in place by an egg crate media rack I made, and it seems to be doing great. I leave the light on more than 12 hours a day, and my macro looks like it's doing great. If you want to get the light I got, here you go -->

And this is the light I am using. I run it 24/7

I run the Intank refugium, and Intake media basket as well, it’s awesome!! I also keep the lid on my Biocube and light the back of the cube. Took a photo of the macro today bought it as a tennis ball size not too long ago. I velcroed the light onto the back.

Edit: I forget to add, I been getting 0 nitrates so it’s definitely working maybe too well.

I am using two of these

AC Infinity MULTIFAN Mini,...

Connected to my Inkbird

Inkbird ITC-308S Aquarium Heating...

The little pads on the fans have a small screw, I took off the small screw and I used it to attach the Velcro.

Works amazing. But FYI I can’t take credit for it, I read it somewhere on R2R and copied lol

@wince718

I am guessing this is you

“Why the extra fans? What else is in that chamber? Also what do you have in chamber 1 and three then? IM trying to figure out how to set up mine.”

Why the extra Fans:
-Because it keeps my temp within 1 degree, no major swings. Also, Biocube’s will run hot due to lid, if the house heats up.

Chamber 1 - heater, skimmer (overkill), temp gauge for the InkBird and a Media bag at the bottom (I use to this for a fast QT setup, not hospital)

Chamber 2- InTank media holder (filter floss on top, chemi-pure blue in the middle and carbon bottom.) and InTank Refug.

Chamber 3- Pump, UV light and ATO hose.

In the stand I have a 7g ATO reservoir and my InkBird.

Hope this helps.

Maybe a noob question but do you blow air in our pull out from inside the hood? I am contemplating the same. In your experience has the fans made a difference. I just upgraded to Steve's and I'm seeing a heat uptick and dont want problems in the summer.

They blow inside to cause evaporation. Here is where I got the idea from. It will answer your questions.

Also sorry @bigmoneyaj94
not trying to highjack the thread.
