What aspects of your DT are you looking to enhance, or feel that are under performing?
I'm more new to the reef tank world so im not really sure on what else I can do to it. Id be happy if my water was a bit clearer/cleaner

From my experience, and everything I've read, the most efficient refugium is a chaeto refugium. Pound for pound it provides the best nutrient export, and habitat for microfauna (pods, etc.). If you want to make it more of a display piece, you can add different types of macro algae, sponges, filter feeders, etc.

this.

If you get a lot of detritus, the fuge has to work harder and in fact may contribute to nutrient issues. The other thing you can add are small crabs and snails, eps snails that eat what your feeding, Ie omnivores or carnivores.
the only caution on crabs is if your sump aint funky they wont have a lot to eat so may dine on your snails.
you can also add a polishing floss before the pump too, but you need to keep it clean.
