I use this bad chicken. 150w hydroponic UFO LED. I think it was like $38. Macro grows extremely fast and dense.

I have been thinking of upgrading my fuge light for a long while and doing a lot of research. A few weeks ago I was at lowes and spotted an LED flood bulb, daylight spectrum (5000k), 14 watts . Put it in a 10$ shop light.

The Cheato is growing so fast that I am unable to justify any change. I have never seen it grow so well! My nutrients where already low, undetectable. So this light is all I'll ever need IMHO.

This was just taken! Was about 20% of this much only 5-6 days ago. Two more days and there literally won't be room for further growth. Got it on clearance so paid less than $20.

This seems to be the exact bulb. SYLVANIA 90W Equivalent - LED Light bulb - PAR38 Lamp - 1 Pack - Daylight - Wet Rated & Energy Star qualified ULTRA Line - E26 Medium Base - 14W - 5000K https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AASTONU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_3-P1xb2QYGWPZ

I'm using the jbj nano Glo on my all in one tank. On my old cube I used a Home Depot led and it grew a lot better with the bulb.

I been using a 54 watt par 38 bulb (blue and white)I also supplement with seachem flourish nitrogen which not only boost my nitrates cause my tank always suffers from low nitrates but this stuff is awesome for growing macro algae

Depending on room and budget. My first one I had tight space so I used a clamp lamp fixture but took the dome off with a par 30 led light from lowes. Like a $25 bulb. Had dragons breath in my fuge. Bought it about the size of a baseball. 6 months later it was about the size of 2 cabbage balls. I do tend to over feed my tank too.

Currently I have much more room and use a fluval full spectrum light. Looks good and growth is decent. Started with a frag (yes a little frag) of dragons breath and it is now about 3 golf ball size pieces. About a month into it.

To clarify, that bulb is over my macro fuge... I also have a display fuge connected to my reef system that uses an LED panel, so it depends on what kind of fuge we're talking about. For a macro fuge, that Cree LED bulb has been great for me.
I'm setting up a46 gallon display fuge right now. What would you recommend for that?

Welp.... a Kessil H150 Magenta is on its way to me.... This post and today pushed me over the edge.

Ditto. I've been running one on my system and its been great.

Seriously, you won't regret it. I grow sinking from my 18x18 refugium my cheato is thick and I have to remove some each week.
