Refugium or sump

I'm currently revamping my 110 gallon 48x18x28 reef aquarium. I'm wanting to trash my wet/dry and upgrade to a refugium or sump. I have no idea which one should get. Any help?

Refugium, ya wanna really grow macro algae or run a turf scrubber when you have the opportunity to run a sump/fuge, instead of just hiding your equipment. Its best for the water quality.

+1 and feel that having ran as large of a refugium as space allowed over 20+ years has definitely been a factor of my success
