Fyi, that pic is my friend Dan's (purplereef) colony. Here's a top down I took .....it definately needs more par to get that nice pink look. 350 or so.

That's insane !!!! Am guessing it's under T5s and not halides . Heard they are as sensitive and slow growing as OG PM .. how long it took to get to a size of a colony like that ?

If I remember correctly it took about 4-5 years to get to a little larger than baseball/fist size. It started under MH& T5 and now T5 only for the past few years or so.

Kevin Kohen gave Dan @purplereef the last frag LA had when our club visited DD in Wisconson.

Hopefully Dan will chime in and give precise details.
