Hey friends,

In serach of my future tank, I came across an amazing 48 in x 24 in x 12 in tank which am interested in purchase.
I have a wooden canopy in mind :-
4 x 54 watts ATI T5s (Blue plus and coral plus) and a single Hamilton Bali Sun 250 watt radium running on M80 ballast .

Plan to have sps dominant .
Hence, wanna know do you guys think ? Do you think I would need 2 250 watts radium or 1 250 watt with 4 T5s with individual reflectors will serve as enough light for sps ?

Regards,
Abhishek

At least 2x 250w , 1 won't give you good coverage. And even a couple t5 tossed in

Yes, I would add a second halide. As stated above 1 won't give you the coverage you need.

I ran 2x250 watt radium with alot of success for a few years however when I switched to cheap Led I got much better colors. My spongode changed from yucky brownish to awesome bright green so may have been too much light idk
