Brian always has great looking RS regals. I'm about 15 minutes away and am tempted by them every time I go in.

I'm sure the main difference is the color variations and location which they were collected from. Everything I've heard about the RS is that they are more hardy and the collection method is not as harsh. Most other regals collected that are not RS are believed to be collected with cyanide and have a higher mortality rate.

That's what I've heard I got lucky with my grey belly. First day in my chevron cut his tail in half, it healed quickly and now he eats literally everything I put in there.

Good to hear. How long have you had him? They say the first step is to get them to eat and if they make it past 2-3 months you most likely have a keeper.

About a month now he eats clams, nls pellets, flakes, nori, brine, mysis and unfortunately SPS.

Got mine from them also. 10 hour round trip drive for me but well worth it.

Keep em fat and happy and he should do good. Once you get past the 2-3 month mark you shouldn't have to worry as much I would say. Mine likes to taste my SPS but has done no harm other than PE is not as prominent. The PE is still there in the tough to reach places of the SPS branches and full PE at night. Growth on the SPS doesn't seem to be impacted. Some people say the nipping helps with tighter SPS growth patterns. Overall it is natural in the wild.
